Brewery Branding: T-Shirt Design
We all know 2020 was a tough year! Even more challenging for local breweries as taprooms, restaurants and businesses that were deemed non-esstenial were forced to close! COVID definitely affected business for everyone, small and large. 1623 Brewing Company in Maryland kept their head high! They continued to brew, can and work hard as a team. To celebrate their First Anniversary, they were looking for a design that was exciting, fun, celebratory but with a little crazy thrown in (as we can all relate to how social distancing has us feeling!)
My creative process begins with a pencil sketch. I like to get the concept roughed out and lightly drawn as a thumbnail concept before finessing the overall design. Then, the illustration is taken into Procreate in this case and drawn out manually using the Apple Pencil on my iPad Pro. I use layers of textures, colors and different brushes to create the design. Illustrated at high res with a clear background so the graphic is ideal for screen printing t-shirts, stickers, swag and beer merch!
